I need suggestions to make a masculine scrapbook?
March 29th, 2009 | by admin |I am making a scrapbook for my boyfriend for his birthday. I love to scrapbook, but I keep making it look too girly and then having to redo the pages. Now they just look blah. Any suggestions?
Head to your crafts store and find fun stickers or embellishments that are "manly". Is he into sport- use stickers of sporting goods.
Use darker colors- blues, greens, black instead of light colors and write on the pages with light colored markers of pens (white on black looks awesome).
You could also make your background for your pages out of magazines featuring things he likes such as sports or outdoor type scenes.
Just try to think about the things he likes and use the pages you create to reflect his personality!
Good Luck.

Blah is good.
Guys will take it as masculine, not lack of interest.
Guys just will like the good pics and hate the ones that aren't impressive anyways.
Give me a white page and pics that make me look good and strong and cool and that is a wrap.

Use some leather/suede fabric and I agree with one of the other comments - using some darker colors - or more importantly, what are HIS favorite colors?
Also, what are HIS interests? Are you zeroing in on his likes? There are a lot of neat scrapbooking things out there to masculine it up! I've seen cowboy/biker/racing, etc… all kinds of stuff - let your imagination go wild and pay attention to what catches his attention!

There is no such thing as a masculine scrapbook, it's guaranteed to disappoint him. Buy him a six pack and get something from victorias secret…..you should see where this is going by now. Do something special for him that he wants to do, It seems rather selfish to make him a scrapbook just because you like doing it.

I recently made a scrapbook for my dad's birthday. I bought masculine looking paper for my pages. Some that I used had vertical lines, maps, fishing, golf, travel, etc…. I based the book on his hobbies and since he was brought up in the 50's and loves music, I did some pages with that theme. Just think of what the person likes and his hobbies and do the book accordingly. There are alot of scrapbook websites out there so you can get alot of ideas from that. I hope this helps.

A masculine scrapbook is akin to a feminine lawnmower.
If you insist on making a scrapbook, fill it with pictures of scantily clad women who look better than you and coupons for beer.

I have a houseful of boys & men. Even our dog is a male! Believe me, I have samples if you'd like to see them. Email me.
Basically, have fun with metal embellishments and all different types of patterned papers that are masculine. Use metal brads, eyelets, frames, photo clips, hinges. Also, don't forget to add fibers in natural colors and textures (leather, hemp, etc).
You can make it nice and have fun with it!
